Carnaval dates

The Cozumel Asociacion de Hoteles has just announced the dates of the Pre-Carnaval celebrations and the Carnaval Parades! This year, the pre-carnaval festivities, including the competition for King and Queen, will take place on Saturdays in February (5th, 12th, and 20th). The actual Carnaval, including the street parades, will take place from March 2 – 9th. Unlike some other parts in the world, Cozumel’s Carnaval dates vary from year to year, and are not directly tied to the beginning of the Catholic celebration of Lent.

has cancelled my flight for March 3. Apparently they had started to book weekday flights once again, but have now gone back to weekends only. Of course, after I booked and received confirmation. I will just do Airtran through Cancun. It has a non stop daily from BWI and overall is not much longer of a trip

I am so glad to hear they confirmed the dates. We booked our airline a few months ago with hopes we picked the right dates and looks like we will be there for the tail end, 3/5-3/13. Can't wait, we will there in a few weeks too but there is nothing better when you are coming back from Coz knowing you already have another trip scheduled!
