I am a single diver that will be doing my first live aboard trip on Blackbeard's in Sept. I have been told be multiple scources that I should have absolutely no problems finding a buddy or group to dive with. I have also been told that the Blackbeard's cruises are very footloose & fancy free in atmosphere, which even though I'm usually a very quiet & reserved person, is what I was looking for in a live aboard for a change of pace. I was primarily looking for a lot of fun & all the diving I can smile at!:D

I just got back from the Bahamas but with another live-aboard company - Lost Island Voyages. This operation uses the Avalon, which is a 65' sailboat, roughly the same size that BBC uses. We had 10 people, which was comfortable, and from what I understand BBC has about 30 and they are packed pretty tight.

The liveaboard experience was great. I am a single diver who was paired with someone whose wife did not dive, so that was good.
