I have been looking into membership at both the National Association of Charter Boat Operators and the American Professional Captains Association. It appears as though the National Association of Charter Boat Operators has more to offer its membership. What group do you belong to, why and are you happy with them? Either one similar to AOPA in their activity, regulation updates to its members or political activity for member's benefit?

I'm in NACO, and have been happy with them, though I don't rely on them for much beyond insurance. They do appear active and send regular updates/info and don't ask for donations. Never heard of the other guys.

It would be nice to see an insurance sticky like the Instructor to Instructor forum.
Since I'm NAUI I'm looking into their boat policy. A friend up here is insured with St. Paul's Imsurance.
