I wanted to let you all know how much we appreciated all your help and advice. We stayed at Little River Campground ( room with a sink and fridge and bed is $35 a night: basic needs met). The first morning we went to Cape Ann Divers where a freindly and helpful Eric took a group of us to Old Garden Beach and briefed us. Gord and I dove for one hour and eight minutes, and enjoyed every minute. We probably would have stayed under longer, given the air we had left, but I was starting to feel the chill (wet suits). We were originally joined by Jim from England via Boston and Astrid from Germany via Boston, but they ended up by diving seperately from us. We explored the area, and the next day filled our tanks and met Mello-Yello. Pebble Beach looked a little rough, so we went to Lane's Cove. Luckily, M_Y found his thingy for pulling lobster out that he'd lost during the saturday date-at-8 dive. Unluckily, my regs were leaking in a major way from every orifice, so I ended up with a shortened dive. We also only had one tank each, so couldn't do a 2nd dive w/ M_Y. The next day, we dove Folly Cove with rented regs (what a gorgerous dive!) and then Back Beach after tank re-fills. Two hours of diving is very fulfilling. Thanks to Mary at CAD for advising us on how to plan our day/dives. She is extraordinarliy knowledgable and helpful. KUDOS> Dinner at PILOT HOUSE in Glouscester highly recomended if you love grilled meat. Breakfast at LEES or THE GULL also great. We did another dive at Folly Cove on Wed, and then the weather turned yucky. We had a great time and will coming back for more. Thanks to Roy Mennell JR and everyone who advised us. Also, the instructor from Manchester NH who told us the dive shop at York Beach in MAINE is CLOSED, and the guys from Boston who lent Gord a fin strap the morning his broke (and the save-a-dive kit was in the car a mile away)> - Kimberly
