I was certified in Canyon Lake a long time ago and the vis was about 10-15 ft in March. I do not hear about people diving in Canyon do they still allow it and is the vis near that at any time of the year?

You can still dive at Canyon although I think the Park at North Park is closed until sometime in March. Check the Corps of Engineers Site. As of last week the water temp is 50 degrees in the 30-60 foot range with about 5-8' visibility.
