Canon WP-DC34 and OPtic connection

I have the WP-DC34 housing from Canon, ordered the XIT MFOCNG11 XIT404 connector for my Sea and Sea strobe but which hole do you plug it into and how do you cover the other hole?

It doesn't matter which hole you plug it in to. If you feel that you must cover the other hole just put a piece of black duct tape in there.....
