Nice pics :)

Am a huge fan of my Canon S400 and glad to see other people like theirs too...makes a change from all the Olympus users ;)

Have mine with a Sea&Sea 25DX strobe, which makes a difference on the close up shots. Keep meaning to try setting a custom white balance off my slate, but never seem to get around to it. The movies are pretty good too.

All my pics are at www.simonandmerith.com/diving.htm

They are very nice considering you were not using a external stobe.

I have had the S400 for about a year and love it. Takes some creative approaches to making it set correct exposure with a strobe though...

WARNING!!
The S400 has already been superseded in Japan (I have just been there)
I saw that the new models will be released in the states in April.
There is the S410 and the S500 with 5 Megapixels.
Therefore, if you wait until then you will either get a brand new model, or you can pick up the older S400 for much cheaper.
I would take Canon over Olympus simply for the cheap memory cards. Mind you I bought a Sony P10 with housing and the video mode can blow you away !!!!

great pics of the clownfish, loved the color in the on of the nudibranch too.

I just back from Menjangan and Tulamben area in Bali.
We stayed only one day in Menjangan island due to bad visibility and strong currents ( 2 knots or more ). So we're off to Tulamben area which is a more protected area from strong currents. Generally speaking Menjangan should provide good diving ( 20+ mtr viz, low currents ) butnot at this time around.

BTW, check out my gallery, http://www.scubaboard.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/553

All pics taken with CanonS50 and double strobes combo Z220 and YS25DX

I'll post more when I got more time...

cheers,

Alexius
