Thanks for the advice - when i get round to ordering the stuff I'll have a good chat to Yuzo. BTW, do you attach the camera to your BCD at all? If so how?

Yuzo doesn't usually steer people wrong.
I definately attach the camera to my BC. Check out the pick below to see the clip. Dee and quite a few others use the same thing. It is good because you can clip everything close when not in use and have a good reach with it when unclipped. Also lets you free up both hands when needed.
It only cost me about AU$20 (US$14) so they are cheap.

I've got exactly the same clip, but have put on SS carabiners rather than the plastic bits. Does the DIII base have somewhere to clip it onto? Currently I clip mine onto a strap which is attached to the housing with the plastic jobby (can't think of the word right now).

I just loop it under where the DIII base attachs to the mount base, very safe. You probably won't understand until you get the parts. There are many others places but this is the most out of the way and best IMO.

Mike also like to check out this site in Singapore (scubacam.com.sg/pages/specials.htm) if you decide on the Inon ;-)

Where did you get your leash thingy from ?

Andy, Barry @ DiveAction has them but they're quite pricey - around R125. I took the plastic clip off and replaced them with carabiners.

Has anyone bought their strobe setup for the S1? I am also considering getting one myself but would be interested in what anyone else is using. Any pics of your gear or even sample pics taken with the setup would be much appreciated.

I have a strobe with my S1. When using the internal flash, always get a shadow at the bottom of the picture, due to the length of the lens. Some sample pics:

Great pics! You seem to have used your strobe pretty close in to your subjects. How close were you? What is your setup?

I actually have an extension arm. Before I bought the arm, the strobe was a little too close. Now I can place it a little better.

Was pretty close. The jellyfish was almost touching my camera, no cropping. The second picture was cropped slightly, probably about as close as I can focus.
