My setup -
Camera: Canon S1
Housing: WP-DC20
Strobe: Sunpak G-Flash
Extension Arm: Yes. Don't know what it's called though

The G-Flash is probably cheaper than most strobes, looks like the Epoque ES-150DS I think, good enough for me.

Hi, Sprain,

That's the same set-up I've got! :) I am still trying to get used to using the strobe and it is quite painful... I am new to photography and it is quite tedious coping with learning about the camera and using the strobe at the same time. :frown:

Do you have any experience with using other strobes with the S1? How does the G-flash compare?

Cool!!! I'm new to photography as well actually. Just took up diving this year, and only then did I get interested in photography.

Have used my camera only 3 times so wouldn't say I'm any good at it yet. Never used any other strobes before, so can't do any comparison...

Now thinking of getting a lens attachment and macro/wide-angel lens...

The LCD screen on the S1 is small. I usually can't really tell if the subject is in focus. Anyone uses a LCD magnifier or something?

My mind works like lightning... one brilliant flash and it's gone

The standard underwater housing does not allow the macro/ wide-angle len to be attached. I saw this post message yesterday: http://www.scubaboard.com/t73261-diy-canon-s1-is-housing-lens-adapter.html ... sounds interesting, uh? If possible I want to get the macro len and do the same thing Alexoki did. ;)

I wonder how it looks like...

There is lens attachment for sale, I think...haven't see it yet but my local dealer told me he has it. And Inon also supports the housing now.

Can't wait to get my hand on a macro lens...
