I'm a Fish!
It's that time of year again, folks.

Canon have very nice rebates on the 5D and the 40D at the moment along with some lenses including the 100 2.8 macro and the 60 EFS 2.8 macro.

If you're on the fence, now might be a good time to buy.

I know I'm picking up another 40D body - at $940 ish how can you not?

Stop Tempting Me!!!!!

How much is the rebate on the 100?

Best price I've seen for the 40D is at Canoga for $919. B&H is at $939.

Bought a 5D 3 months ago, this is not good news. Sigh..............

Shame on that...for those who bought through places like Amazon in the last week or two, it is worth checking to see if they will extend the rebate. I know several people who have been credited a nice chunk of change. Never hurts to politely ask.

Good point... and Amazon typically *will* give you price protection for at least 30 days, and in some cases longer. (I've been the beneficiary of that policy).

More good news for those looking at 40D and 5D bodies...if you have an older Rebel digital, you can get another $50 off when you upgrade. See Canon's site for details.

Also, if you go to Amazon and make it think you want a new camera body, it should pop one in your Gold Box. I did this yesterday and now the 40D+28-135 kit is in there with free shipping for a total of $1075. As the best price right now for the body alone is $919 at Canoga, it makes the $340 lens only $156. Not bad.

How to get Amazon to give you what you want? Look here...

Saw the 40d with a 17-135 mm lens at Best buy for 1299 last week, is that a good deal?
