Hi All

I'm thinking of buying the Inon macro wet lense for my Canon G11 (Canon housing WP DC34) and came across two adaptors however one is priced $59.95 and the other $169 and I can't quite work out what the difference it or if one is better than the other....

The $59 adpator: Canon WP-DC34 (G11) Housing to 67mm Wet Mount Lens Adapter [gb.67mm.dc34] - $59.95 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros

The $169 adaptor: FIX G10/G11 67mm Macro Lens Adapter [fix.ad.cum67.g10] - $169.00 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros

Also, both does not allow for wide angle lense... is there an adaptor where I can put both macro and wide??

Thanks.

Erm. Unless Im missing something, one is for the canon housing, which you have, and one is for the FIX housing, which I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you don't.

I own the fantasea version of the adapter, and it works OK (ive posted a bunch of pictures taken with that and a +10 diopter that I shall avoid posting yet again). The one you link to, assuming it actually stays on the housing properly, is probably a slightly more convenient design than the 4-bungees I use.

As far as wide-angle, as I recall with the Fantasea they actually make a wide-angle specially for the housing rather than having it mount on the adapter, I think to make sure that it sits absolutely as close to the camera as possible. I havent seen a wide-angle lens for the canon housing that wants to sit on an adapter, but I havent looked all that hard.

Thanks for that... for some reason, I looked at the square base for the Fix housing and made the assumption it would fit on the Canon... (not quite sure what I was thinking when I posted this message)
