I live in Indonesia, but am now visiting my folks in AZ, and taking the opportunity to pick up some camera gear. Unfortunately, having an Indonesia billing address makes some online retailers nervous (even though the card is issued by a US bank). I don't have any problem with Amazon, and ended up ordering an A95 from them, but they don't have the housing. Easiest might be just to go to a store and buy one. Anyone know if they are for sale anywhere in AZ, preferably around Tucson?

Cheers, Tim

Thanks Alcina. If I was in Indonesia I would have access to a fax and scanner, but my parents are living in the stone age... Anyway, I'm too full of holiday cheer to wander around looking for a fax machine. I'll be in Tucson tomorrow, shopping of course, and will check there.

Try Desert Divers - http://www.desertdivers.com/

Otherwise you might have to drive up to Phoenix. Although our best camera store just closed earlier this year so I don't know if you'd find one here now either. Possibly Tempe Camera by ASU might have it. Or Fry's Electronics, they sell Canon cameras and I've seen Olympus u/w housings there, so they might have it, they have a lot of photo equipment. It's at Baseline/I-10, you could get there from north Tucson in under 90 minutes on a good day.

Also call Scuba Sciences in Phoenix - www.scubasciences.com. Although it's not indicated on their website, they have a ScubaPhoto store at their NW location. Or El Mar in Mesa, www.elmar.com, they sell photo gear also.

Scubasciences is a canon authorized re-seller, I dont know if they'll have the one you want in stock, but its a possibility.

Hi Alcina. I was able to buy the housing from J&R through Amazon (Amazon is always happy to take my money!). It will arrive tomorrow. Now I wonder if you can point me in the direction of some basic information on using the Canon A-series and Canon housing underwater. Camera set-up, housing set-up ect. I'm sure all my basic questions must have been asked before, so I don't want to waste anyone's time.

By the way, I love the camera. I have been shooting snaps of the kids over the holidays, and am very impressed with the image quality, and the extended family is happy because before they all left I was able to burn them CDs of all the shots. Can't wait to get back to Indonesia and underwater!

You can get started by doing a search in the Canon area (use Advanced Search) for Canon A or A95...you'll get quite a few hits. Don't limit your reading to just the A95, though...

If you have more questions pop them here or drop me a PM - happy to help!
