Forget $s here ... I want the best setup for the Canon G9 with Ikelite housing. What would be the best strobe setup ?

If you're going Ikelite on the housing, you should probably take advantage of the TTL capability of the DS-125. You can use an Inon Z240 which is an outstanding strobe, but I think with the Ikelite housing you can only connect it optically. Make sure you get the flat port as well, so you can use a wet wide angle lens. The standard port is too far from the lens, in order to accommodate the camera's zoom capability. You'll lose a little bit of zoom, but you won't miss it.
