Hi

I currently use a canon g7x in recsea polycarbonate housing. Has anyone used a wide angle lens with this setup and if so which one and how well does it perform. Due to the longer port on this housing there is a lot of conflicting info on web as to whether a wide angle lens is practical. I know that nauticam do a housing with a short port option but the price is prohibitive.

What about with a Fantasea poly housing? Will the Inon zm80 also be a good choice?

Yes. Tried it. Works. The main thing to remember is that u have to zoom in to get the wide angle effect. Optical zoom. Not digital zoom.

Typically the g series use zm80. S series use h100. I would buy the zm80 dome as well. Be warn.. The dome once put on.. Will be a bitch to remove.

Still not sure? Bring your gear.. Get in a shop.. And try. Buying online is good and cheap... But nothing beat actual confirmation...
