I don't believe this is correct, I believe you have to use the Ikelite Strobe cable, but you can get those cables that go to other manufacturers lights. You should double check with IkeLite for a definitive answer.

Ikelite strobes are the only strobes that use a wired connection, so while you could use other companies strobes with an ikelite housing, you would not use the wired connector, rather you would do something similar to a setup with a canon housing with fiber optic cables.

I think this is what is being discussed.

The question was about TTL. You can use non-Ikelite strobes with the Ikelite case, but you can't shoot TTL.

you could shoot ettl with the ikelite housing with non-wired (fiber optic) strobes just like you would with any other housing.
