Canon G12

I just purchased a Canon G12 and housing. How do I change the F-stop and the speed when the camera is in the housing?

Hey sb--welcome to SB! At the beginning of the Canon Corner forum is something called "Stickys". Click this link, ck the 2d post, Gilligan has an excellent diagram and explantion of just how to do this. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/canon-corner/299943-canon-sticky-here-bits-you-need.html
Any function the control ring does can be done via this method. You flip between f/stop & shutter speed using the Jump button, then raise or lower the settings using the left or right "arrow" buttons (aka Macro & Flash buttons!). Note that you have to HOLD down the Shortcut (S) button the whole time you are trying to change settings, you don't just press it once. Sounds a bit weird at first but practice a few times, no big deal. // ww

Gilligan post works great for the G10 and G11, but I am still having trouble with the G12. Gilligan, have any other advise?

G12 difference is when on F-stop shortcut use buttons 6 and 10 for shutter speed. Go East - West for f-stop.North - South shutter speed. Good Luck

I don't have my G10 and G12 cameras/housings with me right now but The G10 is slightly different than the G12 when it comes to button pushing to change F stops and Shutter speeds in the Canon housings.

Follow "Steve the Baker" instructions. I believe the housing manual has thoe instructions.
