I just don't log dives
I just got my G11/marine case and will be trying it out tomorrow morning.

Any advice on going with the auto or the underwater setting? Will have flash on auto..

I normally use manual with external strobe.......

On a Red Sea trip the batteries ran out on the strobe......

Soooooooo..........

I switched to underwater mode and got some good pics - I recall that I forced the flash to off to avoid backscatter........

Try it and see for yourself.................

Hope this helps............M

Is it possible to do a manual white balance with the G11 and use white card to correct colors without flash?

To take the above question a little further ... on my Nikon P5000, I can program the function button so I can bring up the white balance function quickly underwater. So the question is, on the G11, is it easy or cumbersome to get to the manual WB function? I see that as an important issue.
