canon a80

hey guys, I'm new here and I am want to get myself a digital camera. At the moment I like the Canon a80 but I won't buy the underwater casing from Canon (most likely Ikelite). Anyways do you guys have any opinions about which camera I should buy? Please only mention camera's that are $500 or below Canadian as I am young and money is an issue. Also what casings would you recommend as well as strobe lights.

Buy the A80, but I'd buy the Canon UW case also. With the Canon case, you have access to all the camera functions. With some of the aftermarket cases, your choices of functions may be limited.

don't get strobes until you are used to the camera. The canon cases are excellent
