Canon A80 and SB 105's

Has anyone used Nikonos SB 105 strobes with one of the Canon A model cameras? If so, what was your setup and how did it work.
I recently purchased an A80 (after reading about the Olympus 5050) and a housing. I still have a couple of SB 105 strobes around and think I might try using it with the Canon. How would I get the camera flash to fire the strobe in slave mode without having the camera flash effect the picture? Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

You could try and make your own optical type slave system, but that would take effort - get full TTL HERE
