Does anyone use a Canon A70 with a strobe? I am pricing one out for a friend and am unfamiliar with the A70 and whether it is even possible to use a strobe with this unit.

The A70 is a full function camera so I can't see why not. It even has a single pulse (no pre-flash) flash so that's perfect for manually controlled strobes. There's one member (strangely enough called WetA70) on dd.net who uses it with a S&S YS90DX and a Mathais TTL adapter. You could use strobes by Inon and Ike as well. WetA70s page:

Thanks for the information ReyeR. I have zero experience with the Canons let alone the A70. My dive buddy likes my rig, the 5050/pt015 but wants something at a lower price point. I looked at some of the other Olys but thought the Canon A70 was a better choice for her.
