I AM PURCHASING A DIGITAL CAMERA SOON. I'VE LOOKED AT THE REEFMASTER200 AND NOW I'M LOOKING AT THE A40. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ON THE A40? IS IT UNCOMPRESSED PICTURES? IS THE HOUSING A GOOD HOUSING? IF NOT DOES ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION ON AN ALTERNATE (YET INEXPENSIVE) HOUSING? IS THERE A CAMERA IN THIS RANGE THATS BETTER OR AT LEAST AN EQUIVILANT?
THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT!

Click here for an excellent review of it. Can't imagine finding more info anywhere else.

Oh BTW...could you stop shouting? All caps are very hard to read! :)

I have a Canon A40 and canon housing, and I've been very pleased with it. It does store the pictures in a compressed format.

chrispete,

So how close does the macro take you on the A40? I guess there is no equivalence of 1:3 or 1:2 in digital since it is not CCD size but megapixel. But wide is the field of view in the closest macro setting?
