Has anyone used the 520 yet? Was looking at it the other day and noticed that it had an "underwater" setting. Does this really make a difference, or is it just a gimmick to appeal to divers?

If you have used it, what is your opinion of the camera.

Thanx,

Sean

Hi Sean
Just got it and used it with the WP DC60 housing, also just newly arrived. Took it down for some prelim testing 60ft at Anilao, Batangas, here in the Philippines. Now this place is known as a macro heaven and for good reason!

well, the underwater setting plus macro mode gave worthy pics that an idiot with a camera like me could'nt believe i took. and there's so much more to learn with this thing. In my opinion-- great camera!

now i have a question though, how often should i remove and clean the orings? i know the sonys have a n oring plastic "spoon" to help with the job, but the canon orings are stubborn. they make it look so easy in the manual.
