Question cannot post to classifieds but have opted in and read the sticky

I've read the sticky for classified posting.


I have checked the box labeled "Access to Marketplace" in my profile preferences under "Opt-In Forums".

But when I try to make a marketplace post I get the message "You have insufficient privileges to post threads here."

Can someone please assist?

Your profile looks fine and I don't see why you can't post unless there is a time delay that I'm not aware of.

I suspect that a mod had to approve you first.

@whysocold, I believe there IS a time delay. The system updates itself to reflect profile changes once every so-many minutes. I don't recall how many, but something like 30 or 60 minutes.

Opt-in's are processed every 20 minutes, it's not immediate.

And you have to be approved by a mod, so both are true./ A mod will have to approve your first marketplace posting too. It's our attempt to limit scammers easy access to our users. Thanks to @Miyaru. our head Admin, and the mods who take their precious personal time to make it work.
