Hey everyone..... I'm just starting to plan next years dives and was wondering if anyone knew where thye best place was to maybe find a cannon ball (in the water)..
I heard there were some places in Kingston and the Niagara River????

Many years ago, I found a bunch of them in the mouth of the Niagara River. I'm fairly certain that these are considered 'ARTIFACTS' and as such shouldn't be lifted.
 
I asked that question to the NAS officials and their reply was... "If it's older than 50 years old, its an ARTIFACT, best not to touch it... Yikes, that means I am an ARTIFACT... If you see me on the bottom, please leave me there. (wink)

Does that mean you can be moved if we have the appropriate license and permission and a full survey of you is performed beforehand?
 
Aren't some/all filled with gunpowder?

I'd hate to disturb something old and unstable, and get blown into fish-food . . .
