Canister light - Where do you mount yours and how?

Bought the same light fairly recently. Also have it waist mounted, and am happy with this mounting.

The only thing I don't like with this position is that the backplate scrapes up the housing a bit. Recently zip-tied a bit of split fuel line to the adjacent corner of the backplate, will see how this holds up.

I do as most of the others with it mounted on the right side of the waist belt with a SS buckle.

Take a look at this diver. They have no problem mounting their can light on their waist either. LOL I took a screen shot from one of Packo's videos.

Unles you're using an old lead-acid battery style canister, that's pretty much a non-consideration. Most can lights with NiMH or lithium-ion batteries are barely negative (maybe by a pound or two)

Nod, my Salvo 10/21 is 2.5 pounds negative. I hadn't given much thought to how little difference that would make if I ditched it, I just knew I could =p

I tuck my long hose down the left pant leg. Isn't that the DIR standard?

The nice thing about mounting the can light to your belt is that always have access to the switch.
