Hi Everyone

Recently i have been trying out my new light-for-me canister light. I was playing around with the placement of the battery. Obviously it is on the right side of my harness secured with a weight belt type buckle. I was playing with moving it backwards and forwards along the waist strap. I found that it tends to slide back right up against the backplate in the water. I was hoping to have it a little bit further forwards inline with the center of my body.

I would like to now where you place your battery, if you have it close to the plate or further forwards and the reasons why?

Thanks for your time to answer my question.

Mine seems to migrate back toward the plate a bit, but it hasn't been problematic. As long as you can turn it on and off you should be OK.

all the way back is where mine lives to keep it out of the way. It doesn't go quite as far back with doubles as it does on singles, but I don't dive a can light with singles. If you don't like where it is, you can put a d-ring behind it to keep it where you want it.

My light lives pretty much all the way back. Like @tbone1004 said, if you want to move it forward you can either stick a d ring behind it or even another plastic weight belt buckle to act as a spacer.
