Cancun To Cozumel Via Mayair Question....

My flight from Houston lands at 1130 and the next flight out to Cozumel is 1:00. If I just have carry on is there any chance I can make that flight if everything goes quickly? Never tried the flight but since it's just me the $60 is worth it.

I would say NO. If you call MAYAir they will probably say no. I suggest you book the next, later flight.

I strongly suggest that you do not even talk to any taxi drivers. Either call MAYAir and request a shuttle or look for the guys in turquoise shirts and white pants They are called Lomas Travel . MAYAir is located at the FBO terminal. I'm not certain but I don't think the usual airport shuttles go to the FBO. You can't walk there. The Lomas guys will call a shuttle for you but I could only find them at Terminal 3.

When I booked my return flight it was only something like $35 to get back to CUN. We spoke with Andres Millar and he was extremely helpful. I don't know why it was cheaper on the return flight.
 
You might make it. If not, take the bus and ferry. Waiting until the 400 PM flight is silly.
 
1130 in cancun with no luggage? i think i would try it! You get outside grab a lomas guy in the turquoise and white and tell him you are on the 1pm and they will rush to get you there. They are always right outside. DON'T take the regular airport shuttle. Way too slow.
 
Thanks for the help. I went ahead booked the 1:00 and hope I can make it. If not it will be the bus and ferry :(

Also thanks for the tip on using lomas...I will definitely do that.

By the way if you buy the Mayair ticket in person a tourist one way is like 770 pesos or like 44 dollars more or less. Of course that only works if you are buying to go back. You wouldn't want to chance no seat on the way down, but you can email and do a little better than the online price.

Much will depend on how long the lines are for you to clear customs in Cancun (which you will have to do). That can be highly variable....
