My wife (vallie61) and I are both certified SCUBA divers. We have been married for four years, and have not yet once been on a dive together. That however is about to change. This weekend we are headed to Cancun, for a week of fun in the sun and water. We are really looking forward to it. That is how we found this site. We were researching diving information for Cancun, when came upon Scubaboard. We appreciate the photos and experiences that have been posted here. We plan on doing the same. So keep a look out in the next couple of weeks. :crafty:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Hey sounds fun! Glad you and the wife are going to get to dive together. My wife isn't sold on diving, but that's cool. It's not for everyone.

I'm sure you'll find lots of info for your trip here, and I hope you stick around :D

If your bouyancy is good, I suggest diving in a few cenotes in the Akumal region. They're about 2 hours south of Cancun, and breathtaking. This link will get you started: http://www.hiddenworlds.com.mx/ I really liked Dos Ojos and Chaac Mool. Your resort in Cancun should also be able to help you out. And if you feel like a day trip over to Cozumel . . . that would be nice too.

If you haven't been diving in year or so, a refresher course from your LDS might be a good idea, so you can get max enjoyment out of your dives. It will also help you and your wife to work on your buddy skills.

BTW, welcome to the board!

Happy diving.

Mike
