looking for advice on the getting to Cozumel (one person) , i have previously uses the ado bus but the first bus is not until 830 am, what options would the board recommend?

It depends on how much 2 hours are worth to you. A van would run about 40 - 45 USD more than the bus, not sure what a cab runs heading to PDC but the last one I caught heading to the airport from PDC was 600 MXN.

call this number in Mexico and ask for Jose and say you are a friend CV Chief aka Rick Heiniman. He will pick you up in a private van for $60 US, and be waiting outside the immigration and customs area. I've used him many times and he will whisk you to the ferry pier quickly with much less grief than Mayair. Taxis will charge you $80-$100 US and mess you around.

PS The taxis at the airport always charge much more than those going to the airport. Those going to the airport do not have to have Federal License Plates

Punctuation helps prevent confusion, but I guess I understand the situation: You arrive into Cancun airport at 6am and want to go to Playa del Carmer?

If you get thru I&C in less than two hours, have breakfast while waiting for the bus.

That, and it's difficult to shop alternatives at the airport, as compared to shopping on ways to go to the airport.

Long ago I used the shared vans. Last time it was around $18-20 USD one way to Playa del Carmen. I do not know the current rate or where you buy the ticket.

With a shared van at 6 am you can stand around a long time before it fills up.
