o.k. I have been looking for a backup air-source and don't want only 3 Cubic feet (Spare-air) for $289 and only holding 1800 psi. So Pony up right? Well maybe but I also don't want another regulator/gauge/hose dragging in the water and would like something I can hand-off or grab and run if I have to leave my BC stuck in a wreck. So I found a picture of what looks to be the ultimate all in one 1st + 2nd stage regulator that I can bolt onto a 13 CU Pony and be ready for anything. (I don't like the H2O Odyssey and how bulky the top end is).

Can you identify this all-in-one and anyone have experience with it?
(Crap the board won't let me post the image URL so had to attach it)

looks like a Pro-Sub "Mikair" but my memory may be as tainted as the rest of me.

It's made by Well Marine (Taiwan) and it's part of a "spare air" type of bottle-reg set.

My suggestion would be to get a regular regulator with a std bottle. If you really need a reg fast it will be much easier to grab just a reg than the whole bottle with the reg fixed on the top. Especially if you want to hand it off or if you get a large bottle. IHMO anything smaller than a 19cuft bottle is too small (do a search as the size of a bail out bottle is discussed ad-nauseum). Another reason is that the reg gives you a back up reg incase your primary goes belly up. I am not talking while in water per say but when you are traveling to some remote site and your primary can not be used. I like regs that my local shop can service. Finally, over all it will be cheaper - especially if you go the used route.

Shamless plug - I am selling a Mares 12 w/Rebel Octo which is set up for yoke/din. I used it for a pony bottle for many years. Only reason I am selling it is because I standardized all of my regs to one brand for easy servicing.
