Hey guys! I'm doing my open water curse next week in egypt.I would like to know if you can help me with the theory, as I know I would have to take a test, and couldnt find any infornation in the net.Wish me good luck, and hope to get back with a great experience! ;)

welcome aboard... but....

your question is a wee bit ambitious there, but i'll try:

when diving, try to dive in such a manner as to get back to dry land without
hurting yourself, anyone else, or the environment.

the rest are mere details...

Ideally the shop you chose would have sent you the OW manual so you could start reading it before you got there. Since you are going next week, maybe you could stop in a local shop that uses the same agency to buy a copy and hopefully get the cost taken out of your class.

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

How about going to our New to Scuba forum, and ask specific questions...

don

BTW - it would really help if you'd complete your Profile?!

:D

As Andy has said.... if you can ask the question you're most concerned about, someone can assist you in determing how to answer the question.

No, we're not going to answer the question, but we'll help you with determining the answer.

Which agency are you taking the course with?

Hi there,
I would stop in your local shop and buy a text. A flight to Egypt sounds like plenty of reading time.

Here is a link to an online text.

This is a link to a shareware program to learn table usage.

Hope this helps.

Are you doing the full course (academics, confined water, and open water) there, or are you just doing your open water dives in Egypt?

Ideally, you should do the first two at home so you aren't wasting precious vacation time writing exams when you could be enjoying the water!
