Not that I'm an expert, but I think it's a blue gill, not a perch and I think he's thinking that he wished he had tried that with that thing down there.
You're probably right. To me ther are all perch! We finally got a local lake with fish in it so I'm still learning which is which. Some are stripped, some are speckled, some or orange, blure or green but they are all shaped the same. So to me they are all...Perch!

Did you really expect to beat the Perch in a race. Even with your new mode of propulsion, he has home field.
