If you decide to change these are the guys I'd use http://www.drysuitrepair.com/

Hi Tobin,

Wow, that's saying a lot if you live in Socal and you're recommending a place in Minnesota for drysuit repair vs taking locally to DUI. What makes these guys better? Pricing, quality, both? I live in Norcal, so shipping to DUI would probably be a little cheaper for me, but if these guys are really much better I'll definitely pay a little extra shipping when I need repairs.

Superior does it all. Pretty much anything you want. They have seen it all. Good work, nice people.

Nothing wrong with DUI either. Great suits. Nice to have a choice.

Betcha there not $15 difference in freight one way between the two.

Hi Terry,

Great idea! I'm very familiar with Superfeet. Being a runner/triathlete, and having had a few bouts with plantar fasciitis, I now use superfeet in all my shoes- running, cycling, street shoes... I even had them in my slippers for a while when the pain was bad. I hadn't thought about using them in the turbosoles because I was concerned that the hard edge of the plastic part of the insole might eventually wear a hole in the neoprene sock. Do you not have a problem with this?

Thanks,
John

My drysuit feet are rubber boots, so I don't know what would happen with yours, although if you trim the edges smooth, I can't imagine anything bad happening.

I don't have many options, since I've got plantar faciiitis in one foot, and walking in the crappy rubber drysuit boots while wearing a BC just about cripples me. Walking with them feels just like having real feet.

If it damages my drysuit, I'll get it fixed, and figure it as part of the price of diving.

Terry

PS. I just thought of something. I'm not sure how much room you have, but there's a kind of self-adhesive rubber you can buy at an appliance repar parts store (I think it's called "ruba-tex?) that comes as 1/4" x 2" x ?? foot roll. You can peel it off and stick it on the bottom of the Superfeet. Then not only will your boots be protected, but it will be nice and comfy
