I bought a apeks flight reg with all the hoses attached except for the HP with SPG. I have a HP hose and SPG I bought separably. I have an offer to go try all my gear in a pool (its freezing in Montreal) so i really want to go. My question is can I attach the hose and SPG myself? I dont have any special tools here. Is it something simple or do i need a LDS to do it?

Thanks!

It's very simple: find a proper sized wrench, thread the hose in by hand, then use the wrench to tighten it just enough so it cannot be accidentally undone by hand. Bonne chance.

Attaching the hose to the first stage is as simple as indentifying the HP port, it should be marked as such, removing the plug and screwing in the hose. Hand tighten and then snug up with a wrench, don't overdo it. If the hose is not already attached to the SPG that is also simple but make sure that the spool is inserted into the SPG first. The spool is a short metal tube with o-rings either end. It should have come with the SPG but if not your LDS should have them.

Just don't over tighten the fitting. Use a wrench to tighten it just a tiny bit more than hand tight. Too tight and you can damage the threads.

thanks i put it on and tightened witha wrench maybe a bit tight but hit the pool and everything worked great
