Thinking about an SD780IS in a compact Ikelite housing.

I would like to have a tray with no left handle and the strobe/light mounted on the right handle.

Can the left handle on an Ikelite double digital tray be removed?

Cheers
RR

The release handles on our digital housing trays are permanently attached and there is no easy means by which to remove them. A single tray (#9523.31) could be mounted with the handle on the right-hand side, though the finger grips would be facing the wrong way.

The only tray and handle system we currently offered that could be right-hand only is the AF35 strobe kit #4035.1.

Looking at my dual handled tray, I'm sure a handle could be taken off pretty easily. Just drill out the pin holding the handle to the base. Piece of cake. I just got the SD 980 IS and Ike housing. I haven't gotten it wet yet but the pics and video from around the house look pretty good. I like both of my handles, though.
