I found buying one used for $40.00 Canadian ($250.00 new) was quicker and around the same cost. I just posted on this site and it was replied to immediately.

That is a wonderful idea, I hope that someone on here has something I need when I need it BUT I have to be aware of the following;

Murphy's Law as it applies to me:

Nothing will ever be a deal when I need it, and things will always go on sale after I have bought it from somewhere else and used it...
