Hi everyone. My wife and I just finished Snorkelling in the Carribbean, for the first time, while on vacation last week. While there, we did the BOSS Helmet dive. It was amazing! Before the summer is over, I really want to make a trip to the coast (Destin/Panama City FL or Mobile, AL) and go on a Discover Scuba trip. Does anyone have suggestions or reviews of places that we should check out? thanks in advance for the advice. I'm hoping to get her hooked so we can get certified and start working toward taking some really nice trips next year.

Don't overlook Pensacola. Good diving, and lots to do ashore too.

Contact MBT Divers Dive shop Pensacola, FL or www.scubashackpensacola.com [/url] and ask if an when they're doing open water checkouts. That's a good time to bring a new diver on a resort dive/Discover scuba.

Water's warm through early November, so give them a call or email...

If you're going to be diving the Panhandle, Redneck Riveria, or as it sometimes known as LA (lower Alabama) this is the place you want to be - http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/deep-dixie-divers/

Most of your beach dive expereinces will probably be in the passes. Panama City may have a discover scuba diving. Also check out Vortex Springs, they list a discover scuba course and that one may be worth checking out! Vortex Spring SCUBA Training
