Simple : Yes.

Complex : Depends on the age of the regulator...modern are 7/16, vintage are 3/8, and I think Poseidon had some non-standard Euro-thread 1st stages.
 
Of course. The HP port is the same on most regs today. Unless the EU is messing with that as well over on that side of the pond. You can mix and match gauges, first stages, and second stages. Nothing proprietary about them as a hose still has to go between them. At least on modern regs and you sometimes have to tune firsts and seconds when you mix em up.
