Hello, Just thought I would give a quick note on this trip since we are still here and their camping/safari package ends in late November.
It was Great!! We have been diving in La Paz since 1995 and we now feel this is the only way to go if possible. Espiritu Santos is 1.5 hrs out. Which also means you are that much closer to the divesites. This was really helpful for the El Bajo dive. When we got to El Bajo the only boat there was a liveaboard. There are 3 different areas to anchor/dive there. We anchored on the northern part toward the old fishnet. We have not had great experiences in the past at El Bajo. It can be deep, poor vis, lots of current in addition to being in the middle of no where. But... that day we actually saw 10-15 hammerheads at approx. 70 feet maybe 20 feet from us. It was incredible, they came over , checked us out, and just hung around. You could actually see the colors and patterns on each shark. The visiblilty was maybe 50 ft. Yahoo!!! We did 2 dives there then a shallow dive at Los Islotes with the sealions. Its not unusual for the dive at El Bajo to be in the 100+ depth range so to hang with the sharks at 70 feet was amazing.

That was the diving highlight. As far as the package and company, We did the 2nt/3 days of 3 tank diving with Fun Baja. The shop is in the costa Baja resort (resort is very$$) It included all food, drink and the beer /tequila after divingWe were in safari style tents, with good ventilation, padded cots (pretty comfortable). They had fresh water showers, on the cool side. He and she toilet setup. Seemed like a modified marine setup. lots of places to sit in the shade or sun. Kayaks, paddleboards. The price was 740 usd each. I believe it was a good value as diving in la paz is $$ due to the distance of the sites. The first day our boat captain was Jose, He was friendly and helpful. The next 2 days the captain was Angel. He was very helpful, friendly. Good English. Our DM was Rafael. He was awesome. His dive briefings were good, His English perfect. He was helpful, safe and knew the sites well. I feel this was the best company we have been out with in La Paz. I think the company though mx is actually Japanese. We were the only gringos, all other customers we were with were Japanese so the afterdive conversation was limited to some English but lots of "ya that was a blast" smiles.

The company had 1,2and 3 nt packages. Well, that's it for now.
