I am looking for people to dive with.......my brother is getting "too old for this ****"-- I am not.

I have a great boat

Do you go on weekdays? and where?

I am not from RI or CT, Worcester Mass, here. But I am always up for buddying up
for a boat dive. I also would pay for some of the gas on the boat. If you need a buddy on a weekend before August 14 (going away) please let me know.

I will be diving Sunday on a tug called the Condor-it is off Darien,CT. it is a confirmation dive.
I also have a mooring on the Celtic/Cape Race 4 miles away. Both are in the 75 foot range.

Wed I am going to the U853 ( in 2 days)

25-26 I will be diving in NJ

After that I am pretty much open for anything.
My boat is usually in Westport CT

where in NJ? thats my home water!! I will be up your way for the month of august and first part of sept..Looking for local advice, dive buddy's etc..

OK I am booked this weekend-next week I can take some divers out for some informal diving.
I like the Celtic for first timers.....75 feet upright tug with a barge still attached
I have 3 pony bottles w/regs and 7 tanks so can support some operations.

carefull on who you take to the Celtic..it will be dark and can have wicked current.I would not take out first timers there.Maybe I will run up there on the weekend,July 25 or 26(Saturday or Sunday if we have good weather and flat seas.I will be coming out of New Rochelle so it is about a 1 hour run for me to Celtic. Bayville/Oak neck may be a better choice for your for first timers and you can see what their abilities are. There is a interesting barge there and what is supposed to be whats left of a WWI submarine. Was there last week and had good visibility .

The Celtic is not a difficult dive if done correctly.Slack tide low is better nets a good easy dive.
We do alot of training on it and it is a great place to get comfortable diving off a boat and get used to what the Sound has to offer.
I have my boat in Norwalk and dive it often.

The Thumper (barge with over turned tractor) is also a nice LI Sound dive at 75 ft and same cautions prevail as slack tide is important. Vis wan't bad although it was a dark dive. I've seen some awful large tautog on the Thumper.
