Hello all, been lurking on these forums for a little bit of time and decided i'd pop in and post some stuff. I'm relatively new to scuba (~40 dives, 2 specialty trainings) and have been into it for a couple years. I'm looking at getting more into diving and since you're all familiar with the area (i'm in SE Michigan) i'm wondering what your thoughts would be on equipment to invest in for 'year round' diving. I'd like to get out regularly if possible even if it's only in local lakes (that allowed?)
I've dabble a bit in u/w photo with my trusty (and now MIA) sony dsc-p10, that was fun in egypt and florida.
Aside from that just wanted to say hello and perhaps rustle up a dive buddy or at least some thoughts from people familar to the area.
Thus far i'm thinking dry suit would probably be fine year round here (correct me if i'm wrong) and then all the general equipment, perhaps a winged bcd and dual tank setup could be nice for some wreck/quarry diving in the area.
Thanks in advance,
Greg
