California Diving Company is still in business, manufacturing the Dive Boxes, privately training students and doing group travel.
As far as the retail operation, we closed the store in Santa Clarita and teamed-up with Ventura Dive & Sport in the Ventura Harbor.
It was a tough decision, but it wasn't economically feasible to keep it open during this recession.
I want to thank all of the people who supported my business for the last 5 years. I'm still serving the dive community, and I can be found at Ventura Dive & Sport if there is anything you need.
This is a tough time for small dive shops. If you don't want to see your LDS go away, please continue to support them and they will be there for you.
I know the "Support your LDS" topic has been discussed on the board before and caused heated discussions, so I am not trying to revive the discussion. Everyone has their own opinion and I respect that. All I'm saying is that we've lost at least 5-10 dive shops in Southern California this year and they will continue to drop if we don't patronize them.
Again, thank you for your support and look me up if I can be of any assistance.
