I tried the weight calculator and it came out with 22# for me with a 3mm in salt water with an Al80, when in fact I use 10#..I think if I went down with 22# I may not come back up....
 
6lb steel backplate and LP85 tank w/3mm wetsuit ...says I need 18lbs?!?... I don't use ANY weight. It says I need 22lbs for an aluminum tank, of which I also use no weight.
(well I use the 6lbs my backplate weighs)

it says I need 14lbs lbs for swimsuit and aluminum tank, in which case I use about 6lbs with no BC or BP on my monkey rig.


I'm not so sure a weight calculator is going to be of much use since everyone's body mass and skill levels are different...and you can't factor that in...
