Cage diving off Isla Guadalupe

hello divers,

I'm looking to go cage diving with great whites off isla Guadalupe ASAP.

Any info advice is helpful, does anyone know what airport i should aim to fly to for insyance? I've only just started finding out, it seems difficult to get info, any help on my mission is very much appreciated...

Ok, first of all ASAP isn't going to be this year most likely. The last trip on any boat that I'm aware of will be the last week of November. Most of the trips are out of San Diego or Ensenada Mexico.

Sharkdiver.com has this is in the Dive Package section:

Departures are from San Diego, California and Ensenada, Mexico. Vessels are located just minutes from the International airport for ease of travel.

The other trip that I know of, on Solmar V leaves out of Ensenada, Mexico. Diving with Great White Sharks at Guadalupe Island Aboard the Solmar V Luxury Live-aboard

Great White Adventures does the trip out of San Diego on Searcher. They depart from Fishermans Landing (I've seen the boat) about five minutes from San Diego Intl' airport. If you need a room before/after, anything on Harbor Island is 5mins. away. They also book SolmarV - and bus you from San Diego to Ensenada for those trips. I would check with GWA now about availability if ASAP means this year. The season ends in November or earlier for the trips I'm aware of. Edit: just looked at their booking page and they show 0 availability from now through Dec 2nd.

Sharkdiver and Solmar are already done for the season. The longer trips are pretty popular. We were looking at diving from Solmar once and were told they were already booked for the entire next year.

Also there was some recent discussion here (or on another scuba forum) that the Mexican govt. is going to start limiting trips to Guadelupe soon for some eco-political reason. So that may be another limiting factor now.

yea I found out a lot myself after posting (think before you post haha)
but I didnt know about the possibilty of limitations by govt. I think I am going to get back to sharkdiver and see if can book for the following november..
