From another post located in the New 2 Scuba fourm
Callie correct me anywhere I may be wrong.
I had invited Callie for some near the last of the season warm water diving here in Arizona. After getting a set date, Saguaro Lake was decided upon because the water temps were still in the very low 70s.
We met at my LDS and carpooled out to pick up a third person Brian (who better sign in and say hello), a PADI MSD. With the dive location advice from the LDS we dove a place called Keyhole.
The water entry point was off a boat dock / fishing pier. Since neither of us had ever been there before I went off what I was told that there were places that you could get past 40 feet. We didnt find them. The water temp was 72 and visibility at best was 5 feet max depth 41 feet.
For the first dive we stayed within the no wake buoys, during our safety stop I smacked Brian in the head while attempting the Submarine maneuver. Must comment that watching the surface of the water be broken by bubbles then your face was a very pretty awesome sight shades of green clearing till it turned blue from the sky.
Just a comment Arizona being an all beach state the beach is sure rocky, stubbed toe twice.(are there steel toed diving boots?)
I am now in the planning stages of getting/ making a ladder so one wont have to climb over rocks and can exit at the entry point; the pier had no ladder.
During the SI we sat and chatted and planned the second dive. Which would be going past the buoys looking for the depth, Brian getting a little chilled was going to dive until his tank was empty leave us and exit. After making the transition from 3 to two I made a navigational error so decided to follow Callie back towards the pier. Callie then started out and with no visual reference started going up when she realized this she turned and headed down. As my luck that day was, two of her weights dropped from her belt one of which smacked me on the head the second continued on it's way to the bottom, the soft weight only 2-pounds was then taken to the surface where Callie was now at. After regrouping searched for the hard lead 3-pound weight to no avail and soon headed back. Saw more fish all being little sunfish and bluegills then when we arrived below the pier saw more aluminum cans that I have ever seen, checking on what they pay for pound of cans think new dive bag cost X, Y amount of cans = X
Once back to the shop we talked with Kevin (a really great guy) who then told me that a school bus is sunk, about 30 yards from where we dove. There is also a helicopter submerged that I am going to find out where. So when I dive with a buddy and Callie will know where and should have the ladder situation under control.
With the temps beginning past a safe CAD limit might have to wait until next spring.

Callie or Fishkiller,
Tell us more. How was the dive? Any surprises? (Is Fishkiller the same charming devil in person that he is in cyberperson?)(Is Callie the same delightful femme fatale in person that she is in postings?)
The world wonders...(to misuse a quote of Adm. Nimitz...see Battle of Leyte Gulf, "Bull" Halsey, etc...)
Joewr...even I wonder...
