I've seen several descriptions of the seasonal differences in ocean life in Cabo Pulmo during the year, but I'm still not sure about what we would or wouldn't see in September. One post said the jacks aren't there, and maybe not mobula rays? Can anyone with experience diving there in September give me a better idea of what to expect? We were originally hoping for November, but it's looking like earlier in the year would be better for everyone's schedules. Thanks!

The jacks are typically there from late summer to early winter. Mobula Rays are around year long.
Both species are not guaranteed but September is a very good time of the year to do a dive trip to the Sea of Cortez and you will have some awesome diving.
Have you chosen a dive operator yet? The trick to diving the jacks is to hit the dive site when it's happening, local knowledge is key for this dive.

Thanks, Trevor. Still trying to figure out timing with some group members' work. Concerned about the potential for tropical storms - evaluating the National Hurricane Center data - it looks like a few named storms in that area each month, consistently. If we decide to come anyway, I'll keep you in mind.
