I recently purchased the ikelite housing for my C8080 along with the DS 50 strobe. I have not been able to get the strobe to fire unless the pop up flash is up which can not be done when the camera is in the housing. Is there any settings I could possibly use that would enable me to not have to have the flash up? Thanks

You have the strobe connected to the housing via the bulkhead connection and the blue banded Sync cord right?

Assuming that, check your flash is set to external and slow 1.

Terry,
Thank you for your help. The unit has been sitting over at the dive shop with everybody working on it, however, my son was playing with it before our advance scuba class and he noted that the whole problem was the hot shoe connector was in backwards preventing the electrodes from lining up. I hope this thread prevents a future novice from making the same stupid mistake.
