Recently I'd bought a C770, but I always wonder how good it is for underwater photography or how lousy it is because I haven't try it before. I'm abit regret for buying this camera because notice there are plenty better cameras and the price is just slightly higher than this C770. Please tell me, how good it is?

Is that an Olympus C770?

I don't know anything about the Oly C-770, sorry.

I just got back from a weeks diving in Cancun with it. It did a great job and all my diving buddies were impressed by the pictures stay tuned and I will post them on scuba board for all to see. You didnt make a mistake buying this camera you just have to slow down read the manual that came on the cd when you bought it and learn how to use it in manual mode it doesnt do well underwater in AUTO mode. All cameras are pretty much the same except a few different functions and pixel. most camera problems are the operator. The pictures dont take themselfs you have to learn the camera and the different settings and Take the picture.

Mind to share some tips on the setting and things to do and don't? Coz I never take any pics underwater before. I mean since you've already tried it you know which setting works better. Appreciated it.

Hi Puffer,
I`m knew at this also, but have some photos that
show what a beginner can do just starting out. They were
all shot in the Program mode, and I have been told that they
would have been better if ;
If;
Shot in Manual mode, F5.6---1/125 sec.
with strobe and close up.

NOTE- You may be prompted to download The Photodex Plug in , if you don't already have it. Suggest High Speed Connections, or have patience.

I have a couple of customers that absolutely love theirs they love the zoom and the macro features, all of them also got a epoque wide angle lens - 20mm conversion and love the wide angle close ups they get. Their pics are brilliant.

Hi guys,
It has been one year ++ that I'm away from here due to some reason.
THANK YOU for the info + advices.
Pls do share more tips and techniques on shooting uw pics using c770 coz I'll be going on a trip on early July hoping to take some pics for nudi and shells.
Pls advice what are the best setting to take those pics with only the camera itself, coz I don't have lens and stroke. ><~ (how sad!)

I'd like expand on this C770 thread.
I also own a 770, but not a housing (yet).
For those of you that use this camera, how do the batteries hold up underwater?
Which housing did you select?
Does the flash adapter "truly" interface with a DS-50/DS125, or am I better off
with a TTL slave?
Thanks guys.
