mardigrastexan, it all boils down to choices, and for many, those choices are decided by finances. I dive about four times a week so I am more likely a candidate for an expensive housing than a vacation diver, but it's not in my budget.
If it's any further help to you in your decision making process I have 232 dives on my first PT-010 housing with never a leak. I am using a new one at this time and am in the process of replacing the tiny control O rings on the older housing just as preventive maintenance.
Both my C2040Z and C4000Z are refurbished cameras which reduces the loss cost in that $200. housing in the event it does flood.
