Here is a collection of shoots from some of my dives this week at Julian Rocks, Byron Bay, Australia. The clear (sometimes 30+m vis) warm (26c) water has finally turned up and some awesome wide angle action to be had.

Wow! This one:

doesn't even look real.

When I come back to Byron Bay, it's got to be in winter or spring, so I can see a different spectrum of critters from what we saw in October.

Awesome! 100ft. vis and 80f water with lots of big critters. I'm jealous!

Your shots are always very good and much appreciated. Keep posting them! And I am jealous of the viz, temp and critters also.

I honestly prefer this time of the year. Mainly because the water is warm and clear and the amount of large stuff getting around is awesome. Makes for great photo's too. Later in the year is better for GNS AKA Sandtigers but the vis isnt the best. I am expecting Manta's to turn up anyday soon.

We were lucky enough to see one of the bull rays when we were there. They are enormous!
